Είναι σύνηθες φαινόμενο την περίοδο των Χριστουγέννων να επικρατεί η υπερβολή. Τα πάντα γίνονται σε υπέρτατο βαθμό…πολλά φώτα, υπερβολικός στολισμός, άφθονο φαγητό και ποτό.

Για αυτό τον λόγο πολλές φορές δημιουργούνται δέντρα-εκτρώματα απλά και μόνο για να εντυπωσιάσουν. Μερικά από αυτά τα κακόγουστα χριστουγεννιάτικα δέντρα βρέθηκαν στην Αγγλία.

Από ένα «υγιές και ασφαλές» δέντρο διακοσμημένο με ταινία κινδύνου και κυκλοφορίας μέχρι ένα δέντρο κατασκευασμένο εξ ολοκλήρου από σακούλες σκουπιδιών, οι εικόνες είναι πραγματικά αστείες.

Όπως αναφέρει η DailyMail, ένα δέντρο μιας πόλης ήταν τόσο κακόγουστο που απέκτησε ακόμη και δική του σελίδα στο Facebook, με όνομα «Η ντροπή του Χριστουγεννιάτικου Δέντρου του Mottram», που έχει συσταθεί από τους ντόπιους στο χωριό Greater Manchester σε ένδειξη διαμαρτυρίας για το ψηλόλιγνο, με αραιά κλαδιά, άσχημο δέντρο της πόλης τους.
